Freewell Variable ND/CPL Filter Kit Brandon Li 86mm

The Freewell Brandon Li Cine Pro Kit 86mm is a modular magnetic filter system designed for photography and videography with lenses featuring an 86mm filter thread. The Cine VND/CPL module combines variable neutral density filtration with a circular polarizing filter, allowing both functions to be adjusted independently. The VND provides 1–5 stops of light reduction, while the CPL helps reduce reflections from water, glass and other non-metallic surfaces.

The included Cine ND32 filter extends the light reduction range to 6–10 stops when attached to the VND/CPL module. It can also be mounted directly on the 86mm base ring for standalone use with fixed 5-stop light reduction. This range supports exposure control in different lighting conditions without requiring several separate ND filters.

The Cine Glow Mist 1/4 filter gently diffuses bright areas and softens highlights for a more cinematic image. It can be used directly with the base ring or attached magnetically to the VND/CPL module. Magnets allow quick attachment, while a short twist engages the mechanical lock to help keep the filters secure during filming.

The VND/CPL module has an outer diameter of 109.5mm, a thickness of 7.6mm and a weight of 62.2g. Its optical system uses 18-layer coatings and True Color technology with an Anti-Color Shift layer to help reduce reflections and unwanted colour shifts as filter density changes. The front cap incorporates a grey card for checking white balance. The Cine system is compatible with dedicated 82mm, 86mm and 95mm Cine rings.
